More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Stable snowpack conditions were noted in this area today. In addition to the graphed snowpit profile below, a test pit dug in the immediate vicinity of the full profile from Jan 15 yielded ECTN results at the base of the winds slab that showed ECTP results on Jan 15. The snowpack in this area is supportable to the weight of a skier where continuous snowcover exists on NW-N-NE-E aspects.

Photos 1 & 2: Interesting old/eroded fractures in previously wind loaded areas along the top of the Lincoln Ridge main avalanche path. These fractures appeared to have occurred naturally as new snow was wind loaded onto old, weak faceted snow below. Possible occurrence late day on January 11.
