Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Good spring corn on all solar aspects throughout the mid day today in the Incline Lake Peak and Upper Rose Knob areas.  Around 1-3'' of soft snow existed above a defined melt freeze crust that was 6-8'' thick.  Total HS on solar aspects encountered today was in the 12-24'' range, where skiable snow exists.  North aspects in this area are transitional with a variety of crusts and some unconsolidated winter snow.  No signs of wet snow instabilities through the mid day.

Photo#3:  Coverage below 8800' in the gullies heading into 3rd Creek becomes marginal-dirt, rocks and open water exist.
