Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

2'' of new snow at this location today with up to 6'' of fresh wind slabs in the most wind loaded areas.  Some small minor cracking observed around skis and in wind loaded terrain.  Loose faceted snow grains in the bottom of the snowpack observed at many locations throughout this area on north aspects below treeline and at treeline terrain.  While these facets were loose and didn't show much cohesion, snowpack tests mainly showed that propagation was not likely at this time.  Upper exposed N-NE aspects have very little snow due to previous NE wind events and many obstacles are exposed.
