More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snow surfaces remained frozen on all aspects in the Fireplug area until at least 11 am. Even the slopes that did receive sunshine during the partly cloudy part of the morning did not thaw. No signs of instability were observed. Snowpit data regarding the crust facet combo on the northerly aspects indicated that those layers continue to gain strength.
