More detailed information about the snowpack:

Exposed NW-E aspects are scoured down to firm rain crust.  Protected terrain on these shaded aspects have good unconsolidated surface snow from 7500-8500'.  Solar aspects with snow had good spring snow conditions late morning.  Coverage gets thin at 7500' and is almost non existent below 7200 besides the fireroad.  Surface hoar 1-2mm in size was observed from 7-7800' in the main drainage.

Photo#1:  Upper Pole Creek/Sierra Crest

Photo#2:  At 7300' North aspect.  Snowpack depth 1' with a mostly faceted weak structure and barely ski supportive.

Photo#3:  Snow coverage at 7200' very thin early season conditions.
