Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

12 consistent laser-cut shear planes revealed through a series of 12 CTs across a N face on the 20160105 buried surface hoar.  This layer was between 35 and 40 cm below the snowpack surface; HS ranged from 160 to 178 cm across the slope.  6 of the CTs also revealed highly planer breaks on the last SH layer buried 20160109.  This layer approx 4-6 cm below snow surface.  No collapsing or cracking observed.
