Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Wind affected snow from the road to the summit.  Sastrugi mid slope among the trees.  Light precipitation falling as groupel.  Moderate to strong winds on the summit, no cornice building but obvious transport with most tracks from yesterday filled in in the hourglass.  Supportable to breakable to turnable wind affected snow on the descent.

Snow pit in a pillow below the summit on approach reveals 120cm total snow.  45cm old snow/ice at the base with some faceting around the upper ice crust.  Easy <10 ect results show multiple fractures within the new snow at density changes, but nothing transmitting through to the deeper faceted layer.

A second pit mid slope hourglass has 75cm total depth, more obvious and larger faceting around the old snow surface at 45cm but no fractures with ect.
