Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Snow surface conditions on the N-NE-E-SE aspects of Incline Lake Peak were a mix of supportable crust, breakable crust, and leftover unconsolidated recent storm snow this morning between 8,400' and 9,500'.

Test pits were dug adjacent to two small wind slab avalanches. One avalanche (39.294577, -119.940976) was a small test slope failure that was likely human triggered on April 9 (photo 1). The second comparatively larger but still size D1 (see different observation) was likely natural occurring on April 10 (photo 3). At the site of the test slope avalanche, ECTN results were very repeatable. At the site of the second relatively larger and newer avalanche, ECT results were 2 x ECTN and 1 x ECTP. No persistent snow crystal types were visible at the failure interface.
