More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Thin high clouds existed throughout this area today preventing rapid warming and most wet loose activity on solar aspects.  Surface hoar was observed between 7000-8000'.  Soft unconsolidated snow could still be found above 8000' on N aspects in protected open below treeline terrain.   Below 8000', surface snow became sticky and punchy by mid day.  SW winds were light but were increasing into the afternoon hours.
