More detailed information about the snowpack:

4-6'' of new storm snow in this area with wind loaded terrain having up to 8''.  High density new snow was ski supportable with a large rain crust below this new snow up to and over 9800'.  The bond between the new snow and old snow/rain crust was very good with no signs of instabilities.  Some minor sluffing was observed in steep terrain.  Informal observations and snowpack tests throughout the day showed no signs of instabilities in this area.
