- Wind slabs - Avalanches reported 12/21-12/23 (human-triggered) and 12/27 (human triggered with one person caught but not injured)
- Loose Dry - Some reported 12/23 and 12/24
- Storm slab - No avalanches reported.
- Shifting winds have left a mix of hard wind slabs, wind buff, and scoured surfaces including exposed rain crusts in open near and above treeline areas.
- In more sheltered areas, softer, looser snow (facets) exist near the surface.
- In some areas, the Dec. 12 rain crust is starting to disintegrate.
- Winter storm from 12/22-12/25 with 4-15 inches of new snow and wind.
- Strong E and NE winds 12/25 - 12/27
