  • Mid to upper snowpack is a mix of rain crusts and weak faceted snow above 8000' on NW-N-NE aspects
  • Weaker snowpacks with more faceting exist at higher elevation in the Mt. Rose and Carson Pass areas
  • Patchy snow coverage below 8000' and on on E-S-W aspects
  • Cooling trend throughout the week
  • Rain and high elevation snow event early in week
  • 6 to 10'' storm toward the end of week
  • SW and NE wind events
