These observations document past conditions at a small and variable scale. They are not to be confused with an avalanche forecast. They come from a variety of sources. We can only vouch for the quality of those produced by the SAC forecasters and professional observers.

West Shore Area 		Small natural D1 wind slab avalanche on a SE aspect in NTL terrain. Small storm slab avalanches failing on convexities in BTL terrain. Loose dry sluffing off of Crag Peak Cracking around skis while breaking trail signaling storm slab instabilities. Long shooting cracks off of ski tips while breaking trail. Mount Rose Area 		A couple small natural wind slab avalanches along the East Ridge of Tamarack peak. Small test slope failure with wind slab propagation 75' wide. Very large cornices exist off of ridges. These could become an issue in the near future with warmer loading events. Intense blowing snow in the morning and midday. Investigating some weak NCF's around a melt freeze crust on S aspects, ECTN results. Forecaster

Luther Pass Area (including Job and Freel) 		Some moments of blue sky during my time on Powerhouse. Settlement cones around trees. Near the summit ridge a large chunk of this cornice broke and travelled down the slope. Closer but off to the side of the same large cornice missing a chunk. Different cornice break and small wind slab. On a much smaller but nearby cornice I only got minimal cracking and propagation to ski kicks. Professional Observer

Luther Pass Area (including Job and Freel) 		Little new snow fell in the late afternoon here in Meyers and there were patches of blue on my tour. Graupel was easy to see in the storm snow. Pretty minimal cracking in the new snow near steeper test slopes. Cool wind drifted snow feature near a boulder. Probably the most impressive cracking I observed. This required an undercut slope and the failure was deeper than the upper foot of fresh snow. Professional Observer

Minor amounts of wind slab cracking. Deep trail breaking with minor storm slab cracking on the skin track edges. Snowfall rates up to S5 observed. Forecaster
