Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

A weak to decent overnight refreeze of the top 1 to 4 inches of the snow surface occurred in this area. Open areas held the deepest refreeze. Surface snow was melting fast in sun exposed areas on E-SE-S aspects. By 9:30am, 3 inches of wet corn snow over a marginally skier supportable crust existed on E aspects in large open areas between 8,200' and 7,700'. Slightly more supportable conditions with 1 to 2 inches of wet corn snow over crust on S aspects but still melting fast. W and N aspects were still very frozen at 10:00am.
