More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Surface snow starting to melt on this aspect. Only 1 inch of soft corn snow on the E-SE-S aspects above 8600' by noon. More high clouds present than forecasted. These clouds obscuring the sunshine did not allow the snow surface to melt as much as it has in previous days. Free water was present in parts of the upper 20-24 inches of the snowpack.
