Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

I went out today looking to ski and test the persistent weak layers. I had CTH SP results and ECTP25 SP on a large faceted layer below 2 small crusts. This slope was facing directly north. Yesterday (12/21/13), on west facing slopes, we were getting CTM SP and ECTP12 SP results on the same layer on similar elevation slopes in the same area. Today, pressing my pole grip into the snow revealed most areas NE to NW still contain this large faceted layer.
