Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Snow conditions were wet and unsupportable for the most part for the entire tour.  At the trailhead in the trees we had a boot penetration of 40cm with Tsurf and T20 at 0 degrees C.  We had intermittent rain below 8000' then hail and snow above.  Winds were moderate from the SW.  In open wind exposed areas above 8000' there were small isolated areas that were marginally supportable but mostly the snow surface was heavy wet and unsupportable with a ski penetration of 10cm to 15 cm.
