More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Melt freeze crust with limited rain input on both N and S aspects of Becker, with variable supportability to skis but consistently deep boot pen. Deep enough coverage to descend to Echo Lake but poor conditions for doing so. Temperature profile in pit indicates snowpack is very close to isothermal, supported by observed moisture contents.

Winds increased to Strong with Gale Force gusts and occasional rain showers upon my departure mid-afternoon. Wet snow on windward slopes not available for transport.
