Skiers skinning up the northeast ridge of Red Lake Peak reported seeing this slide from a distance. It looked like a skier triggered the slide after his or her first turn off the ridge. It is unknown what the weak layer was. This slide did occur in a area that typically receives wind loading. Dimensions on the avalanche are estimates from looking at it from a distance.
