More detailed information about the snowpack:

New snow amounts of 0.5 cm from the past 24 hours in this area. Cold snowpack temps and ongoing faceting observed in the top half of the snowpack. Snowpit data and informal observations did not reveal any evidence of current instability. Rain crust from Dec 20-21 warming event is eroding. The snow surface remained in a frozen state on all aspects traveled between 8,600' and 9,900' upon departing the area at 12:30 pm. Pockets of dust on crust conditions linger on wind protected northerly aspects.
