These observations document past conditions at a small and variable scale. They are not to be confused with an avalanche forecast. They come from a variety of sources. We can only vouch for the quality of those produced by the SAC forecasters and professional observers.

Echo Summit Area 		Boot penetration to the ground at 830am on a south facing slope at 6700 feet. Surface was still frozen, with less than 1cm ski penetration. On a north facing aspect, there was a crust but soft wintery (near surface facets) below. South facing slopes around 8300 feet were soft and almost corn at 10:30am. The sound of running water was loud coming down Angora bowl onto Angora lake. Professional Observer
