Snowpack Observation
Talking Mountain Cornices and wind scoured surfaces along the Becker - Talking Ridge. Small cornice pieces triggered a small 1 inch deep failure on a wind-loaded test slope near Becker Peak. NE winds had scoured and sculpted terrain on N facing slopes even in areas where trees existed. Overview of the upper part of the cirque between Becker and Talking. Wind pressed and carved snow in an opening below treeline on a N facing slope on Talking Mountain. Minor cracking in on a small wind affected slope on the N side of Talking Peak. Forecaster
